Pine Cone - Thunder
One of my favourite trees is the magnificent Monterey Pine in the Heddon Valley on Exmoor. In stormy weather, the tree sheds a few of its cones, which may have stayed attached to the tree for as long as thirty years - incredible! Fluttering into the design are a few rare Heath Fritillary butterflies, capturing a little of Exmoor in contemporary copper tones.
